02Data we do not collect

There are no user accounts, no sign-up and no login.

There is no telemetry, usage analytics, first-party crash reporting or device identifiers.

There is no advertising, no trackers and no advertising profiles.

The application writes no history files and keeps no configuration beyond the operating system’s standard preferences.

03What is transmitted and how

The application works only inside your local area network. The Mac sends its screen image and, if you allow it, the system audio to the Windows machine that connects.

Initial signaling travels over HTTP inside the LAN. Media travels directly between the two machines over WebRTC with DTLS-SRTP transport encryption. No relay server of ours is involved.

Establishing the connection exchanges local IP addresses and ports. That data exists only in memory for the duration of the session and is neither stored nor sent outside your network.

If you enable the six-digit pairing code, it is used to authorize the receiver and is not stored.

04Audio and screen recording

GDW Mirror Host requests the macOS screen recording permission, which is required to work. System audio is captured only if you enable it.

The capture is sent to the machines you authorize on your local network. It is never uploaded to the internet or stored on disk.

05Microsoft Store

If you install GDW Mirror View from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles the download, updates and, where applicable, purchases and ratings under its own privacy statement. We receive no personal data from those processes.

Microsoft may collect crash diagnostics for apps distributed through the Store. That processing is Microsoft’s, not ours.

The site is static and uses no cookies, analytics or tracking pixels.

It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may log IP addresses and technical request data to operate and protect the service, under its privacy policy.

Downloadable files are hosted on GitHub Releases. When downloading, GitHub may log the request under its own policy.

07Third-party links

The site and the app include links to josecruzchavez.com, gdw.mx, GitHub and PayPal. They open only when you click them. Once open, each site’s privacy policy applies.

08Children

The application is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them, because it collects information from no one.

09Your rights

Since we keep no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct or delete. If you have questions about this, write to us and we will answer.

10Changes to this policy

If a future version introduced any feature that processed personal data, this page would be updated before release, with the change date stated.
